On The Job Training With TI Automotive!

Tuscola County – TI Automotive recently had two On-the-Job Training participants (Melissa Shippey and Josslyn Rushlow) complete successful experiences!

Melissa Shippey came to TI Automotive without any manufacturing experience. She was looking for an opportunity to gain new skills, and secure long-term employment with advancement possibilities. Mary Brinkman (HR Manager) stated, “Melissa is committed to coming to work every day and making a good quality product for our customers.” Melissa stated, “I love my job, I wish I would have looked for this opportunity 30 years ago.”

“We’re happy to have Melissa on board, and OJT makes it possible for us to invest in employees that are looking for a career change opportunity”, said Mary.

“Josslyn Rushlow has provided a consistent and much-needed resource to our manufacturing needs. She is willing to do what is necessary to get the job done which often included working multiple shifts and moving from one line to another on short notice. OJT training funds assured us that a qualified mentor was always available to show Josslyn how to follow operator instruction sheets, follow safety rules and build her confidence in asking for help when needed,” said Mary.

I don’t think I need to say anymore except…CONGRATULATIONS to TI Automotive for mentoring for success in their workplace thus gaining two more valuable employees! – Sheila Rock, Business Services Manager
