On The Job Training Success with Tower International!

Tower International recently completed a couple of On the Job Trainings with Robert Carpenter and Veronique Lemanski.

Robert was working part time in a retail setting, about 15 hours per week and was looking for full time employment.  He had previous manufacturing experience but not in a metal stamping plant, he felt he knew the basics but would have a lot of new skills t that he would need to learn.  Robert is a very quiet man but did say that he has truly enjoyed working at Tower International and has learned several new skills and is sure that he will be able to continue to learn more.

Veronique’s last worked in a production setting in 2013.  Since then she has been doing cleaning/maintenance type of work part time.  She recently moved back to Huron County and was looking for employment.  She applied at Tower International and was hired.  She was happy to be back in the area and working a full-time job.  She said that Tower has treated her phenomenally, she went through some personal issues after she was hired and Tower worked with her and ensured her that her job with them would be there.  She said that Tower International is where she plans to retire from someday.

Peggy from Tower International is the Human Resource Generalist as she said that “Robert has done a great job in all performance areas of his training.  He has been an asset to the company, and he continues to improve in all aspects.  He complies with our Safety rules and practices and maintains a positive working relationship.  Robert accomplishes tasks in an efficient and timely manner.”  Peggy said that “Vicky has excelled in her training she takes responsibility for completing her work, she works in a careful, alert manner to ensure the accuracy of her work performed.  She works harmoniously with others in getting her work done.  She works at a sufficient speed to keep up with the amount of work required and abides by our Safety standards.  Her work standards have been an asset to the company as well as her colleagues.”

Michigan Works was able to qualify both Robert and Veronique for our On the Job Training Program and assist Tower International with funding for a portion of their wages during their training periods.
