Cargill Inc. will be hosting a job fair at GST Michigan Works, 1975 E M-21, Owosso. The event will be held on Saturday, November 18th, from 8 AM to 12 PM. The company currently has over 20 immediate openings across multiple departments and locations, with continued growth projected over the next three years. Significant growth of Midwest Bus Corporation in Owosso creates new jobs
A job fair will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 18 at Midwest’s main headquarters at 1940 W. Stewart Street, west of Chestnut Street in Owosso.
Owosso, Mich. – Midwest Bus Corporation, the nation’s largest transit bus remanufacturer, needs to hire approximately 50 new employees over the next several months to meet the needs of its growing business. Midwest will be hiring for a range of positions from entry-level training positions to highly skilled mechanics, welders, electricians and body repair technicians.
Midwest attracted the attention of Governor Rick Snyder who then visited the facility in 2013 when the company created 100 new jobs after winning its largest contract in Midwest’s then 33-year history. A recent, even larger contract will require a bigger workforce.
A job fair will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 18 at Midwest’s main headquarters at 1940 W. Stewart Street, west of Chestnut Street in Owosso. Midwest Bus Corporation recently secured a new contract to remanufacture 155 buses from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority. A job fair will be held at Midwest’s main facility Nov. 18 to begin filling positions needed for the company’s growth.
