The STEP into Work program is an opportunity for students to get out in the community and see the types of careers that are out here. This short-term work experience program is designed to serve youth ages 18-24. The program runs from May to September 2020. Applicants will be contacted for additional screening and interviews in late April.
You will benefit by:
- Earning Competitive Wages
- Learning on the job skills
- Career support & coaching
- Gaining time management skills
- Building character in the workplace
- Improving your attitude and people skills
- Learning how to be dependable
“I think it’s very beneficial because you’re not just thrown into the workforce, it’s going to guide you to all of the steps along the way and even once you find employment, it still helps you with different programs. If you need help in getting your license, if you don’t have a car, if you’re looking for bus passes back and forth it just gives you a lot of tools.”
-Trisha Douros, Food Bank of Eastern Michigan Employee
We can help you with necessary tools like your filling out an application, creating a resume and acing the interview.
