A Dream turned into a Career

Bad Axe – Holly Hunt worked part-time jobs in high school as a cashier and receptionist before graduating in 2018. She always knew she wanted a career in the medical field, specifically as a Medical Assistant. In July of 2020, she began her education at Ross Medical Education Center in Saginaw. Following her schooling, she participated in an 180-hour externship in March and then earned her Medical Assistant Certificate in April of 2021. She excelled in her academics and completed with a 4.0 GPA.

GST Michigan Works! supported Holly with $6,000 towards her tuition. Along with financial assistance, Holly partnered with her Career Coach, Angel, to guide her through her education and ultimately gain employment.

Following her certification, she began working at the new Meijer Fast Care Clinic in Bad Axe. She was scheduled for 36 hours per week and was earning a competitive wage. Recently she was also awarded a raise!

GST Michigan Works! wants to congratulate Holly for her accomplishments. Thank you for allowing us to come along side and assist you on your road to success!
