Stonebridge Technical Enterprises: Successful Going PRO Award

The need for a highly trained workforce is as important today as it has ever been, and Fenton, Michigan-based Stonebridge Technical Enterprises, Ltd. knows this for sure. Stonebridge provides automation services and equipment to a wide range of manufacturing companies. Their services and equipment are focused on Industrial Automation in high volume and specialty manufacturing environments, supplying automation equipment design and build, control panel design and build, programming, installation, and skilled trades and engineering support. Stonebridge operates in two divisions, Atlas Technologies and Stonebridge Technical Services. These divisions are both recognized as high-quality, dependable suppliers that serve a variety of appliances, automotive, aerospace, agricultural, and energy customers worldwide.

As 2025 marks the 60th anniversary of Atlas Technologies and the 30th anniversary of Stonebridge Technical Services, this leader in its field considers providing its teams with ample quality training paramount to its accomplishments. A recipient of a Going PRO Training Fund (GPTF) grant from the State of Michigan in 2024, the company has continued to train its staff in engineering and other technical fields, general job skills, safety standards, and more. As part of the grant, all employees completed formal training underwritten by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). This training isn’t cheap, but Stonebridge believes this specific level of further education is central to remaining relevant and at peak performance.

Since the company specializes in the technicalities of engineering equipment, it was further beneficial for its staff to have access to formal courses that included training in blueprint reading, hydraulics, and more, and the company is building on this to further the in-house education it provides. As a press-room equipment leader routinely handling loads weighing tens of thousands of pounds, the powered industrial truck forklift operation safety training, and the crane and rigging safety training, is a must for the safety of its people; investing in this area is an easy choice.

Thanks to the help from GST Michigan Works! and the Going PRO Talent Fund program, Stonebridge continues its forward-thinking strategies that will assist in providing employees and corporate strength and stability for many more years to come. Happy 60th birthday, Atlas Technologies…and happy 30th birthday to Stonebridge!
