GST Michigan Works! Secures Over $1.9M in Going PRO Funding
GST Michigan Works! is proud to announce the successful securing of more than $1.9 million in FY26 Cycle 1 Going PRO Talent Fund awards on behalf of 41 regional employers, through the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO).
This critical investment will support employer-driven training for incumbent workers, USDOL Registered Apprentices, and newly hired talent, helping businesses strengthen their workforce and remain competitive in a rapidly evolving economy. Funded trainings are typically short-term, targeted to demonstrated employer needs, and culminate in industry-recognized credentials that build transferable, in-demand skills.
These awards play a vital role in helping area employers upskill their existing workforce, improve employee retention, and enhance job satisfaction, outcomes that directly contribute to long-term business stability and regional economic growth.
GST Michigan Works! Business Services team works closely with employer applicants throughout every stage of the highly competitive Going PRO Talent Fund application process. Employers interested in staying informed about upcoming cycles can contact a Business Services Professional here.
“This funding will assist our employers in training incumbent workers, USDOL Registered Apprentices, and newly hired talent.
