Change Is On The Road Ahead Of You

Jesse inherited his family’s business, Timber Wolf. He worked tirelessly to support his family and maintain his family’s company. However, it was becoming increasingly difficult to do that without being able to afford benefits for his growing family. 

That was when Jesse decided to visit GST Michigan Works! and enroll in the WIOA program. He needed assistance paying for his CDL-A training. Jesse started training at Thumb CDL in July 2024. He stayed persistent while still working full-time. In March 2025, Jesse received his CDL and started his journey to find employment. 

For the first few months, he struggled with finding something. However, in June 2025, Jesse started at Blattner Energy as a Truck Driver. While he has a significant commute to work, he started his new employment at over $50 per hour with benefits. Jesse is gaining great on-the-job experience and is creating a whole new life for himself and his family.
