Career Path to Success
Since 2021, GST Michigan Works! has been working very closely with Goyette Mechanical in providing successful career paths to their current and future employees. By overseeing their Going PRO Talent Fund (GPTF) awards and ensuring that trainings are completed following their application, those career paths become stable and easily accessible to their employees. This creates a strong workforce for Goyette Mechanical and Genesee County.
In 2024, Goyette Mechanical was awarded $437,400.00 through the GPTF. With this award, they were able to train a total of 124 incumbent workers, along with 26 newly hired workers. They were also able to continue the training for 81 current USDOL Registered Apprentices.
Goyette Mechanical’s intent is for every employee they hire to be on a career path to be successful at Goyette. Employees trained through the GPTF award all gained skills that make them more valuable to the company and the customers they serve. All employees receive an increased level of responsibility and opportunities, which also results in pay increases. By training employees, it significantly improves their business operations and productivity and reduces downtime for both customers and employees. Goyette can introduce and offer new services to current and potential customers in other markets and increase profitability.
In 2024, Goyette was able to provide a total of $373,670.00 in training to their employees. Their Going PRO Talent Fund reimbursement check was a very beloved delivery!
What are their employees saying about the training opportunities?
