A Story of Determination and New Beginnings

Aaron walked through our doors in February 2025 with a clear goal and strong determination. At the time, he was working as a Sugar Specialist with Michigan Sugar, a seasonal role that left him laid off each year. With a family to support and a desire for stable, year-round employment, Aaron knew it was time for a change.

His plan was ambitious but focused: obtain his CDL-A license. Aaron showed commitment and wasted no time completing the necessary steps: securing his drug test, DOT physical, and temporary permit. 

Understanding the financial strain that comes with changing careers, GST Michigan Works! was proud to support Aaron by helping cover the costs of his physical, drug test, temporary permit, and tuition for CDL training. With this support, Aaron was able to stay focused on his goal without the added burden of financial stress.

Aaron completed his training and earned his CDL-A. He is now on the road to a stable and rewarding career that will allow him to support his family throughout the entire year.
