Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office – Central Dispatch (9-1-1)

Shiawassee Central Dispatch is the 9-1-1 call center for all of Shiawassee County. We answer all emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire and EMS services. We dispatch the appropriate services for all incidents and ensure the safety of the public and our First Responders.

NOW HIRING:

• We are looking to fill three 9-1-1 Dispatcher positions.
• All applicants must be willing to work nights, days, weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or the equivalent.
• Must be able to pass an extensive background check, basic physical and drug screening.
• Computer and typing skills are a must. We require a minimum typing speed of 35 wpm.
• Pay Scale: Starting $22.63/ hr. with a top out of $30.91/ hr. after 4 years per our current contract.
  • Holiday pay. $100 shift premium per pay period for 2nd/ 3rd shifters.

New hires will be required to pass a 20 week on the job training period before he/ she can be considered an independent dispatcher.
