H&H Tools Benefits From Skilled Trades Training Fund Grant

H&H Tool is a Tier II Automotive Supplier of precision machined fluid connector parts and supplies a majority of vehicles in North America. They were experiencing a skill shortage and had to reduce the requirements of machine operators which lead to a decrease in the quality of parts being produced. They were concerned about staying competitive and realized they needed to improve their processes/equipment. They recently invested $4,000,000 in six new Makino CNC milling machines and had an immediate need to update the skills of their team leaders, managers, maintenance and set-up technicians for the new equipment.

H&H Tool applied for and received a Skilled Trades Training Fund grant for the following courses: Basic Gauges and Measurement, 3D Cadd Conversion, PLC’s & Advanced Programmable Controllers, GD & T, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Controls, a40 HMC Maintenance w/ Pro 5 Controls, Office 365: Advanced Excel and/or Power BI, IATF Internal Auditor Training. The training included 45 of their employees. It was an enormous success, and the employer has received their first reimbursement of $31,090.00 from the STTF grant.
