JMG Student Success – TK Thomas
Over one million dollars worth of scholarships were awarded to TK Thomas. He is recognized as the salutatorian for his graduating class. He is the President of the National Honor Society, the Quiz Bowl Team, the Graphic Design Team, the Flint Southwestern Classical Academy Student Council, and the Michigan Youth and Government Board.
He is a senior at Flint Southwestern Classical Academy, and he is a part of the GST MI Works! JMG chapter. He currently has dual enrollment at Harvard and Arizona University. His dedication to the community and his resume landed him recommendations from community leaders. He received seven full-ride scholarships, and he has been accepted to more than forty universities and colleges across the nation. His scholarships total more than $1 million!
He is a leader and an activist, and he works with many different organizations as a change agent in Flint. The Flint Public Library is reopening, he will be speaking at the ribbon-cutting, and he will be one of two keynote speakers at other graduations in Flint. He has a mental health app to help prevent suicide, anxiety, depression, and to help others struggling with mental illness. He is a motivational speaker, and he travels to different states and cities and speaks to many different people. He was a part of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Incorporated and Gamma Delta Kudos Midwest Regional Youth Conference and won first place because of his oratorical.
He is also writing a book that will be released in 2022. It is called “Through the eyes that don’t see!” He will be a Morehouse man in the fall of 2022. There, he will study Psychology and Business. Later, he will attend mortuary school to open a funeral home someday and bring jobs to his community. He also plans to get a law degree. Congrats, TK, keep shining! The world needs you!
