Audra came to GST Michigan Works! in Lapeer with credits toward an associate degree but needed additional support to complete her education. Her professional experience was primarily in service and retail, yet she aspired to make a difference in business management, with a particular interest in non-profit organizations and the meaningful work they do.

During her time with GST Michigan Works!, Audra successfully navigated transitions between case workers and stayed focused on her goals despite changing expectations and personal challenges. She worked closely with her career coach to refine her resume and cover letters and applied tirelessly to positions across multiple industries.

Her persistence paid off when she secured a position at McLaren, where she embraced the opportunity to begin her career in a new direction. Today, Audra contributes her skills and dedication in a clerical support role, helping those in need while continuing to learn and grow professionally.

Audra also achieved academic excellence, earning her associate degree in legal studies, summa cum laude. One of her biggest challenges was balancing full-time work, full-time school, and the responsibilities of being a single parent. Her family served as her inspiration, providing the strength to persevere and achieve her goals.
