Caring for the Community

Dylan came into the Lapeer Service Center looking for a meaningful career where he could make a difference in the lives of others. Helping people had always been his passion, and with previous experience and knowledge in emergency response and EMT services, he knew this was the path he wanted to pursue. However, he needed the credentials necessary to move forward in his career journey.

From the beginning, Dylan stood out as a motivated, responsive, and engaged young adult. He consistently communicated well, followed through on commitments, and demonstrated a strong willingness to learn and grow. His positive attitude, professionalism, and dedication made him a pleasure to work with throughout his journey.

Motivated and eager to get started, Dylan enrolled in EMT training just one month after first connecting with our office. From the beginning, he knew he had found the right fit. Within two months, he completed the program and earned his EMT certification.

While Dylan discovered a strong passion for emergency medical services, his ultimate goal had always been to become a firefighter. Just one month after earning his certification, he secured a full-time position with Patriot Ambulance. He is currently serving as a volunteer firefighter at the Lapeer City Fire Department. He is preparing to begin Fire Academy in September, where he will continue building the skills and knowledge needed to serve his community.

Dylan remains committed to lifelong learning, professional growth, and advancing his career in emergency services. In the meantime, he is working full-time as an EMT, gaining valuable hands-on experience and expanding his expertise every day. His determination, strong work ethic, and passion for helping others have positioned him for a successful future in both EMS and firefighting. Dylan is an excellent example of how dedication, responsiveness, and perseverance can help a young person achieve their goals and make a positive impact in their community.
